Goodbye November...

Hello friends, It appears that November flew right by me without a second glance, I looked and it was gone! I have been getting my Christmas cards prepared and doing a little decorating. I made a few adorable cards with the Oh deer paper packet, I just love that paper and ordered 2 extras to have on hand. I also used the Perfectly Pine stamp set and a bit of Silver Shimmer Trim. I am so excited to for the new Seasonal Expression Idea book coming Jan 1, 2017 (2017?!!!) it has some amazing new products which I was lucky enough to see and experiment with at the Seasonal Expression Launch in Boise on Saturday. I love going to events such as this because you always come home with new friends. I met a sweet lady, Renae from Seattle who flew into Boise for the day just for this event. she has been a consultant for 21 years and was wonderful to sit with and we had a good time for the few hours we were there.

Im going to be holding a card workshop on Saturday December 12th if you all want to join me, you get to make 5 cards for $10.00. Hand made cards for Christmas are the best!  I will be adding photos later. I know that one will be a thank you card and I'm not sure about the rest yet, but I have a cool new snowflake thin cut that is callin' out my name!

Hey friends! Since you all know that Christmas is just around the corner I thought I would share one of my Christmas cards with you. 

I used the City Sidewalks paper packet for one of my designs this year. The best thing about it is you can flip the paper over and because all Close to my Heart pattern paper is double sided you can make a completely different card by simply reversing the piece! Gotta run, I have several more cards to make and want to get them done but I just had to share!

Novembers card class is this Saturday (Nov 5) at 1:00. Friday I'm having an open crop on from 6 pm till 10 pm, Bring your snacks n drinks and we can hang out and work on projects old or new,  or just come hang out and visit. October is one of my favorite times of the year. We have had a busy month, both of our daughters and two of our grandsons birthdays are in October! Last weekend we headed to Pendleton for a get-together family birthday bash for Boones 1st birthday, he is the cutest little bugger! Im planning on going down again soon for Lanes birthday, Boones older brother. October always flies by like nothing and soon its November and we are thinking of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am gearing up for a
Close to my Heart card workshop  Saturday, November 5th and will be having an open crop night on Friday the 4th! More details to come so stay tuned and stay happy!

Finished Banner

Hi guys, I finished my fall banner last night and I think it's adorable! It was very simple to cut out by hand and stamp. I added a couple of rough cut bows and some buttons and you have a new decoration that's pretty inexpensive.  I have it hanging at work right now but I am thinking it would be cute in my entry way and may bring it home.

 I am getting ready to place a Close to my Heart order and if you need anything please call me.

Fall Banner

Hey friends, like it or not fall has arrived and as we all know winter will be just around the corner. Some of you are sad and will miss summer but I suppose there are a few rare ones like myself who lay in wait for the winter snow to fall. Don't get me wrong, I love the seasons but winter is by far my favorite. However, when spring arrives I will welcome it with a smile because I love the spring too.

So my fall loving friends, I am constructing a "Welcome Fall" Banner to celebrate the season. 

I'm using supplies that I've found in my craft room and once again, I'm makin' a mess! Here we go!

I am using craft cardstock from Close to my Heart and a set of  their retired stamps, twine from the Dollar tree, glue sticks and a bit of burlap that I purchased at Micheals a few months ago. I want it to go quick so I am cutting strips 4" X 12" with the craft cardstock and cutting the ends to look like banners. I will stamp them and fold them in half and glue the ends together over a piece of twine. I will then embellish with some burlap and maybe some stamps and leaves, ya never know what I'll come up with. 

I will post the finished product when....I'm finished!

Helloooooo friends!! Yesterday's workshop was a great time, I have included a picture of the cards we completed but completely forgot to take a picture of the class.  If you ever wanted to learn how to play with paper just ask me and I'd be glad to help! I am pretty good with a Cricut and am learning to use my Silhouette if you ask me I would be more than happy to try and answer any questions you may have! Here's to a wonderful week!

Last Call...

Heres one for the Guys!

I Love that Close to my Heart sells stamps that can be used in a masculine card. Too many times we find ourselves overwhelmed with flowers and cute animals but this is one of two stamp sets that CTMH has in the New Annual Inspiration Idea book that work for the guys! Hooked on you (B1535)

Good day Monday!

Good Morning Friends!
This morning finds me back to work on the 5 cards for Saturday's workshop! I'm pretty tickled with these two! The first card is made with a retired CTMH stamp set called Candlelight garden and I completed the card with a sentiment from a new stamp called Happy Heart (A1192). This stamp is on page 49 of the Annual Inspirations book and is available in English, French and Spanish!

 This Happy little card was also created with Close to my Heart products, but is totally Pinterest inspired! As you can tell I'm not finished yet but I'll complete it soon!  The name of this stamp set is Woodland Critters and has several little critters included. (C1657) it is located on page 23 of the NEW Holiday Expressions book. The ribbon is from the Annual Inspirations book on page 28 and is part of the Rustic Home collection which is my personal favorite! (Z3292)
